Sounds great doesn’t it!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, Is it worth it?
My verdic
Charlotte Tilbury is one of the most popular skincare and makeup brands in the world. But is Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream really worth the price.
I wouldn’t say that I have the driest skin however given the hype and the expense I expected more from this product. Maybe if my skin was dry then this would feel more like a magic cream but unfortunately I could not feel anything magic about this.
I’ve tried lots of moisturizers over the years, and this one doesn’t feel much different to some more cheaper brands. A brand that I want to compare it to is Neutrogena Bright Boost. I can not tell the difference between the two when I apply them to my skin. Apart from the Neutrogena Bright Boost makes my skin tone appear more brighter.
That said, I brought this cream as it can also be used as a primer under makeup. Therefore saving you money on primers and time applying two products. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the primer feel. I felt that my foundation didn’t sit right without a primer. So I still applied this cream with a primer. This cream also includes SPF. However, I would never recommend using this product alone for the SPF. Use it as an added extra to your usual SPF.
So is charlotte Tilbury Magic cream worth the price? Let’s take a look at the ingredients. The first ingredient is water, like many moisturizing products. According to The derm Review The key ingredients in Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream are claimed to be hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E, camellia oil, rosehip oil, shea butter, aloe vera, and frangipani flower extract. However, they point out that all of these “key” ingredients are present in very low concentrations (less than 1%). They know this by looking at the ingredient list (which is in order of descending concentrations). You can find the full ingredient list below. All of these ingredients are listed after the preservative phenoxyethanol, which cannot be used in concentrations more than 1%. These ingredients may consist of 1% of the product or a very tiny amount. There is no way of telling. We also do not know how these ingredients are interacting with each other. So can tiny amounts of these key ingredients make a difference? According to some research and clinical trials, they found the following results:
- IN 1 HOUR, HYDRATION INCREASES BY 226%
- APPEARANCE OF FINE LINES & WRINKLES REDUCED BY 26%
- SKIN APPEARS FIRMER BY 188%
- SKIN APPEARS MORE ELASTIC BY 219%
- 99% AGREE THEY SAW A SMOOTHING EFFECT
- 98% AGREE SKIN FELT INSTANTLY MOISTURISED
- 96% AGREE COMPLEXION IS INSTANTLY GLOWING
- 96% AGREE SKIN APPEARS YOUNGER
- 96% AGREE SKIN TONE IS MORE EVEN
- 95% AGREE TIRED DULL SKIN WAS INSTANTLY TRANSFORMED
- 95% SAW A REDUCTION IN FINE LINES AND WRINKLES
- 94% SAW A SIGNIFICANT PLUMPING EFFECT
Surely now you must be convinced that this is the magic cream we’ve all been waiting for? But wait. The study was tested on 179 people. We don’t know who these people are. Are they relatives or workers of Charlotte Tilbury? Are they fans? We don’t know.
For me, Charlotte’s Magic Cream did not give the results it claims to give. I have not see a reduction in fine lines, a more even skin tone or a plumping effect. My skin does however feel smooth after using this cream and absorbs well into my skin.
