Dermalogica C-12 Pure Bright Serum Review

What it does

According to Dermalogica’s website The Dermalgocal C-12 Pure bring serum is a Potent skin brightening serum which helps balance hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. It contains an exclusive blend of Oligopeptides, plus Rice-derived Phytic Acid, antioxidant Zinc Glycinate, and Red and Brown Algae to help address pigmentation imbalance.

My Skin Concern

Pigmentation, dehydration and aging.  Living in a hot country may sound like bliss to those in countries like the UK but it doesn’t do great for your skin.

Appearance and Texture

The Dermalogica C12 Pure Bright serum comes in a tall and slim cylindrical-shaped bottle, with a pump to dispense the serum. The pump dispenses a small amount of product. The C12 Pure Bright serum is translucent white, lightweight gel-like texture

Usage

I used this serum twice a day after cleansing. I applied the serum to all areas of my face. If you are lucky to have small areas of uneven skin tone then you can apply just to those areas. Once applied, allow time to absorb before applying your next product. it doesn’t take long to absorb.

My verdic

Initially, I purchased this with the aim of reducing pigmentation. I was very excited to try this and had high hopes, especially as it comes at price. I tried two bottles thinking that it will take time to see any difference.   I continued to use it twice daily until I finished the second bottle and always followed up with sun cream and moisturizer. The Dermalogica C-12 Pure Bright Serum felt very lightweight and absorbed well into my skin. In addition, this serum didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or heavy and is fragrance-free. After finishing 2 bottles, I struggled to see any difference. There was no visible change in pigmentation, nor did I see any difference in skin improvement.

Given the price and lack of results, I probably won’t repurchase a third bottle. The reason I say probably is because I like the feel of the product and maybe it needed a bit longer for me to see any improvements.

Ratings

This review was written based on my opinion after using two bottles, plus several free samples.
Score 6/10

The Finished Bottle

Completely empty and fully used. Even the writing has scraped off. I think this is a design fault. Afterall, if paying over 100 pounds for one bottle, you would think they would ensure the design stayed on the bottle.
