Free Simple Alphabet Handwriting Practice worksheets

Reading and writing the letters of the alphabet can take a lot of practice. These Free simple alphabet handwriting practice worksheets will help your child or students learn to recognize and write letters in both upper and lower case. You can print, as many times as you need.  We recommend your child or students  uses a pencil to write and you should make sure that (s)he is holding the pencil correctly before beginning. If your child holds the pencil incorrectly from the beginning, this may cause a bad habit. Once the child gets used to holding the pencil incorrectly, it may be difficult to break the bad habit. Picking this up early is very important.

As your child works through the worksheets, encourage your child or students to say the letter sounds out loud as they write them. This will help them in both reading and writing. We also recommend using these handwriting worksheets over and over. Set five to ten minutes a day for your young child to practice.
