Golden Coast Beach
Golden Coast Beach is one of the largest public beaches in Tuen Mun. Golden Coast Beach was one of the first artificial beach in Hong Kong with the sand being imported from Hainan Island in China. Near to the beach is the Gold Coast Hotel, a convention center, a small shopping mall, restaurants and a marina club.
There are lots of lovely beaches in Hong Kong, however, we particularly enjoy coming to Golden Coast Beach , mainly due to location. Therefore making it a convenient for people living around New Territories area. Before hitting the beach, we enjoy spending time at the nearby restaurants before spending the afternoon splashing around in the sea. There are a range of restaurants and fast food outlets close to the beach. For example, there is a McDonald’s, for those fast food junkies. McDonald’s is also a great option, if you want to take your lunch or dinner to the beach. Aside from McDonald’s there are various other local and western restaurants catering for everyone.
The beach itself is large, clean and sandy with around 8 lifeguards towers which provide a all year round life guard service. Making it one of the safest beaches to visit. There are some shaded areas however these get very busy during the summer and weekends. The beach has showers, toilets, changing rooms and refreshment kiosk.
If you are visiting Tuen Mun or a near by area, then be sure to check out this great beach and nearby restaurants. Enjoy a walk by the sea, dig your feet into the soft sand and enjoy another side to Hong Kong.
The other beaches are Cafeteria Old Beach, Kadoorie Beach and Castle Peak Beach within walking distance of Golden Coast Beach
