What is Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% ?
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes, dark spots and congestion.The main ingredient, niacinamide, comes in a concentration of 10% to provide the best results. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.
- Niacinamide. Also known as Vitamin B3, niacinamide has been shown to have benefits for multiple skin problems and is suitable for almost all skin types. For acne-prone skin, niacinamide may help to fade acne scars and regulate sebum production. For aging skin, this product may boost collagen production and prevent wrinkles and fine lines. Suggested Use for the Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% can be used twice daily however it is recommended that if topical Vitamin C is used as part of your skincare, then this product should be applied at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). Otherwise, Niacinamide may affect integrity of the Vitamin C.
Personally,I use this product in the evening after cleansing and toning and I use a vitamin C product in the morning. I take 2-3 drops and gently apply over the face. If I have a spot coming I will apply this product directly to the spot
Niacinamide is not an acid so it can be used with the direct acids! I pair this with a hyaluronic acid and have had no problems
My verdic
The reviews on this serum speak for themselves! Check out some reviews on Amazon. I love this product so much. This is a clear serum that feels so super lightweight and gets absorbed immediately into the skin and doesn’t cause any pilling. It also doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky film so my skin absolutely loves it. This serum has helped to clear up some acne scaring and helped to reduce the appearance of new skin blemishes. Also after a few weeks my complexion was much less dull.
If you’re a fan of having clear and plumper skin, then this product will not disappoint you. This serum is so affordable it is really hard to find something wrong. You do need to be patient as the results won’t be immediate, same as most other products. The best results comes to those who wait. So patience is the key.

CONS
I can’t find any fault with this product. You do need to be patient as results are not immediate. Also the packaging is glass and when it breaks it is sharp. I accidently knocked this off the shelve and got a cut on my foot from the broken glass. (see picture below) . This would be an issue with any glass product, including a wine bottle haha. Just need to be careful that beauty products can also fall and break …. (a note to myself!!!)
