Tai Mei Tuk
Tai Mei Tuk is in the Tai Po District, New Territories and is a popular place for barbecues, kite flying, sightseeing and cycling. We love to go and hang out in one of the near by restaurants before cycling around the reservoir.
With wide open spaces and picturesque Plover Cove Reservoir I highly recommend Tai Mei Tuk. You can go and enjoy the views by walking, jogging or biking around the reservoir (you can hire a bike or bring your own). The rental shops have the usual mountain bike, plus bikes for four people. Making a great activity for the whole family.
The road at the top of the reservoir has a lot of open space, here you will see people flying kites.
If you are not much of a hiker, or biker you can explore the restaurants near by, where you will find all kinds of cuisine, which offer a relaxing atmosphere. If you prefer to cook your food, then you can enjoy a BBQ or bring a picnic.
There is also a water sports centre which offers a large number of water activities. This is something I have not tried out yet, but looks fun to do.
