What is Charlotte Tilbury's magic eye rescue cream?

Charlotte’s Magic Eye Rescue is a smoothing, brightening eye cream which claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness on tired-looking eyes!

Who is it for?

This eye cream is suitable for all

Appearance and Texture

Creamy white in colour and comes as a rich cream smooth texture.

Suggested Use

Apply both morning and night.  Gently massage around the  eye area for a refreshing, cooling effect

My verdic

The  Charlotte Tilbury’s magic eye cream  looks almost identical to the magic cream. It has a thicker gel-balmy consistency and a more beige coloring. It is extremely emollient and rich! It applies on very smoothly and absorbs well into the skin.

However, I am honestly very divided when it comes to Charlotte Tilbury skincare products because while they are marketed as luxurious, rich, and extremely beneficial products, I struggle to see any of the benefits on my own skin that cheaper brands can not offer.

Charlotte claims on the website that this eye cream will do the following:

  • BOOSTS THE APPEARANCE OF RADIANCE BY 329%
  • SKIN LOOKS SMOOTHER BY 301% and SKIN FEELS FIRMER BY 219%
  • EYES APPEAR LESS PUFFY BY 79%
  • DARK CIRCLES APPEAR REDUCED BY 68% and WRINKLES APPEAR REDUCED BY 72%
  • SKIN TONE APPEARS MORE EVEN BY 117%*
  • SKIN APPEARS MORE ELASTIC BY 35%
  • HYPERPIGMENTATION APPEARS REDUCED BY 71%
  • 97% agree skin FEELS INSTANTLY HYDRATED
  • 94% AGREE SKIN LOOKS AND FEELS SMOOTHER
  • 91% AGREE EYES APPEAR MORE AWAKE and FINE LINES, WRINKLES & CROWS FEET APPEAR SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED
  • 90% AGREE EYES APPEAR YOUNGER
  • 89% AGREE EYE CONTOUR LOOKS HEALTHY & RADIANT and EYES APPEAR LIFTED

Reading this definitely got me excited to try the product but after using for 7 weeks, can i really see a difference? This eye cream does little to treat my skin. I’ve used many eye creams at much more affordable prices and felt a difference. For the high price tag, I would expect much better results. I can not relate to any of the above claims that this product makes other than it does help to moisturise the skin around the eye area.

Furthermore, looking at the ingredients list, most of the key ingredients fall at the bottom of this list. Meaning there is possibly less than 1% of the ingredient in the cream.
